Halloween has become a huge holiday as far as decor goes. Until a few years ago, Christmas was the biggest decorating holiday. These days, most people decorate for all of the major holidays, but it seems Halloween has become one of the biggest. Take a drive around your neighborhood. You will see lots of outdoor decorations. If you come across a house with a lot outside, you know the inside is just as decorated.
There are lots of popular themes too. Some go with a traditional witch, Frankenstein, Werewolf, Jack-O-Lantern theme, which is pretty much what I do. Others go with lots of popular themes from TV and movies. For example, Freddy Krueger from Nightmare on Elm Street, Michael Myers from Halloween, or Jack Skellington from the Nightmare Before Christmas. Zombies are becoming very popular too since the Walking Dead made it to TV.
But, as I said, I tend to stick with a more traditional Halloween style, with a little Hocus Pocus thrown in. Let me show you a few things I picked up on Amazon recently.

I saw this Spider Web and absolutely fell in love with it! It’s meant for a fireplace mantle, but I don’t have a fireplace, so I put it on my TV stand, which is as wide as a fireplace and is about three feet off the ground. It looks so cool!! Very witchy!
There was a movie back in the late 1970’s/early 1980’s called Something Wicked This Way Comes and I LOVED it. So when I saw this pillow, I had to have it! It looks great and is very comfy!
I’m always cold. 365 days a year I use a blanket when I’m sitting on the couch watching TV, so there are always tons of blankets and throws on our couch. Well, we also have a bunch that are seasonal, so when I saw this one, I knew it would look great with the pillow I got!
Trick or Treat Banners
I don’t put a lot outside on my porch, but I love these banners! They look so cute!! Fortunately, my front door has space on either side to put them with the “or” on the door, otherwise, you might need to adapt where you put them. I loved the stacked pumpkins so much that I got them too!
The final touch to great outdoor decorations is a wreath on your door. And I absolutely LOVE this wreath!! It’s a great combination of autumn decor with Halloween, that it can stay up from September until Thanksgiving!
Last, but not least, you need some pumpkins… inside and out! I loved this glittery pumpkin and actually purchased three to put around my house!
I liked these lighted pumpkins too and put them in my front hall, so you can see them as soon as you walk in the door.
So these are what I snagged from Amazon recently. Added to what I already had, my Halloween decor is all set this year!
So tell me, do you decorate for Halloween? Is yours a bit understated, like mine? Or do you go all out?? Let me know in the comments!
