I must admit… some of these items are before my time, but I enjoy looking at the photos…. this was a simpler time for the office worker. Generally they had specific duties. Now office workers are required to do a multitude of tasks, some of them not so easy!
Here are a couple of old “Ditto” or mimeograph machines… earlier copiers if-you-will. I did use one of these in high school.
A vintage office chair. We actually had one of these in brown in my old boss’ office until the base finally broke recently.
An old paymaster check stamping machine. We had one of these too. I finally updated it a few years ago to an electronic version. We do print checks through our accounting software, but we do hand write some checks and I use it to stamp the amount in, for security purposes.
A switch board system. It looks terribly confusing.
A teletype machine. Never used one.
Last but not least – a typewriter stand. Again, we had/have one of these in our office. I have a printer on it today.
